The Arbor

details

The Arbor, a six-story, 134-unit building originally built in 1965, has officially opened its doors to University of Maryland students for the 2026–2027 academic year. The renovation updated the building with a fresh, modern look and added a variety of new amenities.

Inside, the building features redesigned layouts, upgraded appliances and finishes, and improved accessibility throughout. New amenity spaces include study lounges, private study pods, and a fitness area with yoga and a sauna, giving residents a variety of spaces to study, relax, and stay active. The updated interiors were designed to provide a more comfortable and functional living experience for students.

Exterior improvements include a new roof, enhanced lighting, and a redesigned building entrance. Zavos Architecture & Design served as the Architect of Record in collaboration with 510 Architects.

The Arbor is now home to hundreds of residents in College Park, providing updated housing and amenity spaces just in time for the Fall 2026 semester.
