Bruce Zavos

Bruce Zavos, AIA, NCARB

Principal

As President, Bruce provides guidance for all of ZA+D’s projects and leadership in implementing the firm’s core values and objectives. He has been an architect for over thirty years and has focused his talents on community oriented projects and building a practice representative of his ideals.

With his organizational and management abilities, he has led his eponymous firm to numerous design and preservation awards incorporating both high design ideals and sustainable design objectives. The source of Bruce’s continuing success has resulted from his ability to listen, creatively problem solve and engage the community and stakeholders in the design process.

Bruce is also deeply involved in the welfare of his community and serves on numerous boards and organizations.


Hannah Weikel

Hannah Weikel, AIA, ASID, LEED® AP

Principal & Director of ZADinteriors

Hannah joined the firm in 2004 after earning a bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Architecture from Longwood University. With over 20 years of experience with the firm, she is a Registered Architect,  earned her NCIDQ Certification and is also a LEED® Accredited Professional. As well as serving as a Principal, Hannah is also Director of ZA+Dinteriors, making her the only in-house certified interior designer. Specializing in large scale projects as well as interior finish selection, space planning, and design models, Hannah has served a wide range of residential, educational, medical, housing and commercial clients and prides herself on satisfying each end user.

In her spare time, Hannah enjoys spending down time on the Lake with her husband and two daughters and close-knit group of friends.


Ryan Cramer

Ryan Cramer, AIA, NCARB & CPHD

Senior Architect

in 2024, Ryan joined us after a decade’s worth of work based in New York, NY. Not only did he pursue his professional career in this time, but Ryan also provided academic instruction at prominent collegiate institutions, including The City College of New York, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and the New York School of Interior Design. Through the years, he has gained extensive experience in a wide variety of projects, including multifamily & single family residential, commercial, institutional, corporate interiors, and retail.

In recent years, Ryan’s expertise has successfully guided building designs pursuing Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) qualification. Specific housing types include supportive, transitional, family, and senior living. With Ryan’s eye for building enclosure detailing and knowledge of sustainable design techniques, we look forward to further strengthening ZA+D’s pursuit of environmentally-forward architecture. Ryan is both a Licensed Architect and a certified Passive House designer.


Liam Fox

Liam Fox

Project Manager

Liam started with the firm in the Fall of 2018. Before that he worked in the construction field as both an estimator and an engineer. While working construction he attended Morgan State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Environmental Design.

Some of his interests are listening to music, wood working, and on the weekend going out on hikes. He is excited to bring some of his experience and ideas to the ZAD team.


Abagale Addis

Abagale Addis, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP BD+C

Project Manager

Abbey joined the ZA+D team at the start of 2023. After earning her Master of Architecture degree from Kent State University, she began her career in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and later relocated to Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Abbey’s experience in commercial architecture includes office, industrial, multi-family, hotel, and government projects. She is a Registered Architect and a LEED Accredited Professional.

Whether it’s hiking or throwing a ball for her dog in the backyard, Abbey enjoys outdoor activities and traveling. She values architecture’s constantly evolving nature and looks for opportunities to learn about the latest industry standards.


Samantha Wood

Samantha Wood, ASID

Architect/Design Intern

Samantha joined the ZA+D team in the summer of 2025 after earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Radford University. Her recent internship reaffirmed her passion for interior design and honed key skills that align with ZA+D’s collaborative and dynamic environment. Samantha brings a strong ability to thrive in team settings, develop creative and functional solutions, and perform effectively in fast-paced project timelines.

She is proficient in a range of design software platforms, including Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, and InDesign. Her interests span residential, senior living, commercial, and higher education design—making her a strong fit for ZA+D’s diverse project portfolio.

Outside of work, Samantha enjoys vacationing in the Outer Banks, spending time with family, and playing competitive softball. A lifelong athlete, she looks forward to joining an adult league in Frederick.

 


Callie Hart

Callie Hart

Office Manager

Callie Hart rejoined ZA+D in February 2021, bringing with her more than 15 years of comprehensive experience in office management, operations, and project administration. Her return marked a valuable addition to the firm’s leadership and day-to-day functionality, as she plays a vital role in maintaining organizational efficiency and supporting both staff and clients.

As Office Manager, Callie wears many hats. She is responsible for managing project contracts, overseeing construction administration tasks, coordinating billing cycles, and handling both accounts receivable and payable. Her attention to detail and deep understanding of project dynamics help ensure that operations run smoothly and that client satisfaction remains at the forefront of every engagement. Her proactive approach to internal processes fosters a well-organized, collaborative environment across all departments.

Callie is a lifelong Maryland native and has proudly called Hagerstown home for over 15 years. Outside the office, she finds joy in supporting her daughter’s musical pursuits—whether volunteering behind the scenes or enjoying the performance from the audience. A devoted dog lover, she also enjoys relaxing at home with her beloved pups.

Callie’s strong work ethic, paired with her warm personality and extensive professional knowledge, make her an indispensable member of the ZA+D team.
