ZA+D, founded in Frederick, MD in 2003, is a full-service architectural firm committed to thoughtful design and lasting client relationships. Our team combines experience and creativity to take on even the most complex projects, always keeping our clients’ goals at the center. This approach has resulted in buildings that make a positive impact on both people and the environment.
We specialize in agency-driven and community-focused projects, working with non-profit organizations, schools, and local government agencies. Our portfolio also includes retail, commercial, and custom residential work. With extensive experience in new construction, renovation, rehabilitation, and adaptive reuse, we often work with historically significant structures. For nearly two decades, our own office was located in a historic building, and several of our rehabilitation projects have earned awards for excellence.
